Our ministries

Services

Sunday - 930 Morning Worship - 1115 Sunday School | Wednesday - 7PM Prayer Meeting & Bible Study

We expect that all of our members share the gospel as they are able (Matthew 28:18–20) and minister to one another in informal ways  because of their love for one another (1 Corinthians 12:4–7; Hebrews 10:24; 1 Peter 4:10). Our church attempts to carry out specific ministries prescribed by Scripture as well. Churches like ours that have 25 to 100 people typically have neither the need nor manpower to have specialized ministries beyond these basics. For what we do, however, we attempt to do it with excellence because it is for the spiritual health of our church and the glory of God.

Pastoral Care

Our pastors lead the church, preach and teach from God’s Word for each of our services, and give spiritual counsel as needed (1 Timothy 3:1–7; Titus 1:5–9; 1 Peter 5:1–4). Our lead pastor keeps regular office hours during the week, and both pastors are always on call to help whenever the need may arise.

Deacon Care

Our deacons watch over the care of widows, shut-ins, or those with special needs (Acts 6:1–6; 1 Timothy 5), as well as the physical needs of our church campus and matters of church finance. As quick as that description may be, the care for these needs at times is quite a bit and often extends to others that they include in ministering to the needs of the church.

Hospitality

We love to “show hospitality to one another” (1 Peter 4:9). Our hospitality extends to several areas – greeting members and guests for services, having ushers for seating and offerings during services, preparing food and décor for church functions, manning our coffee center during times of fellowship, following up with thank you notes and gifts to our guests, and so on.

Music

Besides the necessary worship of God through congregational singing during our services (Col 3:16), our music ministry offers small ensembles, duets, and solos as coordinated by our music director each Sunday. We have occasional concerts as well, sometimes bringing in a fellow brother or sister in Christ who is particularly gifted in music.

Nursery

Our nursery ministers to families with children 0 through 3 years of age by providing a safe, clean environment for these children for all church services so parents are able to worship and hear the preaching of God’s Word.

Children’s Sunday School

Some of our ladies/couples rotate teaching our children (ages 4 through 6th grade) during our Christian Life Hour. We also offer a teen class. We use sound, biblical curriculum to emphasize the gospel and the cardinal truths of Scripture for the children, ministering to parents by enabling another opportunity to hear the teaching of God’s Word.

Building and Grounds Care

We are privileged to have a seven-acre campus with four building structures, one of which is our main facility for worship and church meetings. There are always opportunities to cleaning and maintenance in order to let our “headquarters” function smoothly.

Missions

Our mission as a church extends to partnering with missionaries who seek to make disciples in various parts of the world or aid the church’s mission through helpful, specialized ministries. We partner with our missionaries through financial support and prayer. We regularly give missionary updates to the church, pray for our missionaries in our services, and make their newsletters available to the church. We encourage the members of our church to interact with our missionaries and pray for them on their own as well. We do not post the names of our missionaries online due to concern for their security. We support missionaries in Uruguay, France, Kenya, Canada, Russia, Eastern Europe, and Brazil. We also support missionaries serving with Bibles International, Continental Baptist Missions, and the Pastoral Enrichment Program.

Pillar Christian Bookstore

Our church bookstore includes a great selection of Christian books, music, Bibles, and more. Our bookstore is generally open before and after services.

Conference on the Church for God’s Glory

Our church hosts an annual conference every May to encourage and edify pastors of like faith and practice by repeating basic truths as needed and addressing specific issues. The conference is open to anyone and has been a blessing to hundreds of pastors over time. Click here to find out more.
