Did God really create the world in a week? Do we really come from Adam and Eve? Was there really a global flood just a few thousand years ago?
These questions and others seem outdated to the modern mind. Many claim that “all things are continuing as they were from the beginning of creation” (2 Peter 3:4), a creation that, in their minds, began with a big bang. The scientific establishment of our day scoffs at any notion of a supernatural source behind the universe’s origins and ongoing processes and considers biblical creationism a quaint, Christian set of myths that have no place in the realm of fact and knowledge. As Christians who are faithful to Scripture, we will use God’s Word to answer these questions, realizing that, while the Bible is not a scientific textbook, it speaks authoritatively to the matter of science, and that science, properly done, can only make theories and conclusions that are compatible with Scripture. Join our church for this helpful class taught by our pastor, David Huffstutler. It begins Sunday, June 28, meets at 11:15 AM, and will last for several weeks. We’d love to see you there. If you have any questions, please contact us at info@fbcrockford.org.
