We are looking forward to Friendship Weekend, Friday-Sunday, March 15-17. It will be our privilege to have Mark and Amy Herbster with us.
Mark and Amy have recently moved to Watertown, WI where Mark serves as the Dean of Maranatha Baptist Seminary and of the School of Bible and Church Ministries for Maranatha Baptist University. While maintaining a speaking ministry in local churches and youth conferences, Mark also travels recruiting for, and promoting, the University.
Before moving to Watertown, they served in itinerant ministry for sixteen years travelling around the country and the world serving alongside pastors in local churches.
Mark and Amy have been married for 21 years and have four daughters. Amy is homeschooling their children.
We will be blessed to have Mark and Amy minister the Word to our hearts and communicate the gospel to our friends, neighbors, and coworkers.
The events of the weekend are as follows:
•Friday, March 15, 6:30 p.m. - Men’s Barbecue Dinner
•Saturday, March 16, 11:00 a.m. - Ladies’ Brunch
•Sunday, March 17 - Morning and Afternoon Services
“In those days there was no king in Israel. Everyone did what was right in his own eyes” (Judges 12:25 ESV).
This theme pervades the book of judges, illustrating time and again Israel’s downward spiral into sin when the people were left to themselves. Not only does this book show the need for Israel to have a king then, but in the context of the whole Bible, our need for the King of kings, the Lord Jesus Christ.
Men, please join us for this edifying study through judges in the days ahead, beginning on Sunday, March 24 at 6:00 PM.
